The new head of Alfa Romeo design comes from Spain: born in 1968, a graduate of the Royal College of Art, Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos will officially take up the position from next July 1st, putting his international expertise at the service of the Stellantis Group, after the experiences gained in Spain, Korea and France. He will report to Jean-Pierre Ploué, Chief Design Officer of Stellantis.
Mesonero-Romanos has a background in Seat and Cupra and has signed models such as Tavascan and Formentor, the fourth generation of Seat Leon, the fifth generation of Ibiza and the Arona. And now he will have the task of dressing the Alfa Romeos of the future, a mix of modernity and electrification.
