Ducati presents the Multistrada V2, which is a substantial update of the previous 950. As the latter maintains the two versions, normal and “S”, continuing to focus on the 937 cc twin-cylinder with desmodrodmic distribution (as opposed to the V4 flagship that has renounced). For Borgo Panigale, the Multistrada V2 represents the gateway to the tourer range, thanks also to the brand new 35 kW version for those with an A2 license (which costs 1,000 euros less). Thus the main focuses of the project were: ergonomics, weight reduction, engine updates and a series of electronic upgrades, while the design is practically unchanged. The style is characterized by fluid lines, clean surfaces and the balance between the important front volume and the lightness of the rear, with new graphics that show the name of the bike on both sides.

The Testastretta 11 ° has been Euro 5 homologated and delivers 113 HP with approximately 10 kgm of maximum torque. From a technical point of view there are new connecting rods, a new 8-disc hydraulic clutch and an updated gearbox, which guarantees greater fluidity and precision of shifting, also facilitating the engagement of neutral. According to Ducati, it has a very linear and regular delivery right from the low revs, but it maintains a sporty character in the upper part of the rev counter. In addition, the maintenance intervals have been extended, with an oil change every 15,000 km and a valve clearance check every 30,000 km. In this regard, the new V2 also benefits from the 4-year unlimited mileage warranty that covers the entire Multistrada family. As for the chassis, however, the 19-inch front wheel is confirmed as well as the semi-active Skyhook suspensions that are standard on the S.

Speaking of ergonomics, the height of the has been reduced to 830 mm, with a redesigned and narrower shape between the rider’s legs to better touch the ground; if desired there is also the kit to go down to 790 mm. Then there are the footpegs inherited from the Multistrada V4 which, thanks to a distance from the saddle increased by 10 mm, increase the roominess for taller riders. Furthermore, regardless of height, everyone will appreciate the 5 kg lightening which brings the dry weight to 199 kg. The latest innovations concern the electronic dynamics management package which includes ABS Cornering, Vehicle Hold Control, traction control and 4 riding modes – Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro – fully configurable. In the S version there are also the cruise contro, the full Led headlamp, the quickshifter, the color TFT dashboard and the backlit handlebar controls. The price list starts from 14,990 euros for the base and reaches 17,590 euros for the S.
