Sir Frank Williams, historic founder and former head of the Williams Formula 1 team, died at the age of 79. He was hospitalized last Friday and passed away on Sunday morning. The news was spread by the team’s social channels.

Its machines won 16 world titles between 1980 and 1997, nine for manufacturers and seven for drivers.
