From sharing to direct sales: the summer of 2021 is marked by evolution for Helbiz, which after its listing on the stock exchange (the first micro-mobility company to do so on Nasdaq, with the stock up by 59.09%,
last Friday, debut day) announced the arrival of the first electric scooter destined for sale. And with a collaboration of excellence: Pininfarina, which has made available to the American company (founded by the Italian entrepreneur Salvatore Pallella and present in 35 cities around the world with the sharing service) almost a century of iconic design, emblem of the made in Italy.
The new electric scooter will be called Helbiz One, and was born thanks to another significant collaboration, that with MT Distribution, a company in the Italian Motor Valley, which was entrusted with the engineering of the vehicles. Helbiz One will arrive on the market in the course of 2022, and the production forecast is around 60 thousand units in the first year. Maximum attention to design, inevitably, for the first model of a line entirely dedicated to micro-mobility that will be distributed all over the world, but in particular in Italy, Europe and the United States.
From a technical point of view, the scooter weighs about 15kg with front and rear shock absorber, LED rear light, integrated indicator lights, LED display, bluetooth system, dedicated smartphone app and three driving modes: eco, city and sport . Reservations are already open on the Helbiz website, and there is insurance for the so-called “early birds” who will win the first edition for free.
