Hyundai Transys – a global component manufacturer affiliated with Hyundai Motor Group – is studying the interior upholstery of the future, debuting a CMF (Colors-Materials-Finishes) concept for seats that use sustainable leather and other materials regenerated from waste from the process tanning. In particular, the seats were made from waste leather products destined for the automotive sector.
“Hyundai Transys intends to pursue carbon neutrality in all of its product development processes,” said Steve Yeo, CEO of Hyundai Transys, who is working to minimize its environmental impact by limiting waste by moving to renewable energy and developing ecological products. Its new CMF concept is part of the Korean giant’s strategy to achieve emissions neutrality by 2045.
