Four months after the world launch, Jeep opens reservations for the Grand Cherokee 4xe in Italy, France, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Customers who, from 17 February to 30 March 2022, register at the link https://bethefirst.jeep-official.it will be contacted for the possible purchase of the Exclusive Launch Edition, a full optional version which costs 94 thousand euros in the price list. and which can be financed with installments starting from 859 euros per month.
The Exclusive Launch Edition offers, in addition to 21 “wheels and interiors covered in leather and walnut wood, also the easyWallbox for home charging, the Mode 3 cable for public charging with dedicated reel, the 4xe indoor car cover, the one-year vehicle warranty extension, for a total of three, and some privileges thanks to the 3-year Jeep Wave, such as the first three coupons provided for in the use and maintenance booklet. The Exclusive Launch Edition also includes the Free2Move e-mobility card which facilitates top-up payments, with 3 years of public top-up (up to 3,000 km) included in the offer.
The abbreviation “4xe” is dedicated to the plug-in hybrid engines of the Jeep brand and has already been used, with different powertrains, for the Renegade, Compass and Wrangler. In the second half of 2021, a quarter of the brand’s sales were represented by the 4xe versions. “Italy is our first market in the world for this technology, in 2021 half of Jeep sales were 4xe”, CEO of the brand Christian Meunier told reporters during a streaming meeting.
The application of the 4xe plug-in hybrid technology on the Jeep Grand Cherokee combines two propulsions, turbo petrol 2.0 and electric, for a total of 280 kW / 380 hp and 640 Nm. The system guarantees 4×4 traction and, thanks to the 17.3 kWh rechargeable battery, the possibility of driving electric for 51 km approved.
