“In disagreement with the new shareholders, with immediate effect I resign as honorary chairman and member of the board of directors of the company that controls Garage Italia.” With this tweet Lapo Elkann announced today that he has resigned from the office of director and chairman of the board of administration of Garage Italia Customs Srl.
Lapo Elkann thus leaves every position of the creative hub he founded in 2017 and recently acquired by Youngtimers Asset Company AG. “Thanks to the employees, founding members and partners with whom we shared and created unique and unforgettable projects together. I want to thank you one by one from the bottom of my heart,” he added in a second tweet.
Lapo Elkann will continue to lead the company (which he himself wholly holds) owner of “L’Astronave” in Piazzale Accursio in Milan and of FB Garage Srl, a company active in the organization of events.
