Maserati Grecale, the first images of the Trident medium SUV

Cars News

Maserati has released the first images of the Grecale, the medium SUV that will be presented within the year and that will be positioned in the range below the Levante. The three photos released by the company, in which the car is portrayed blurry and camouflaged with blue films, would have been taken by the company’s employees in Modena and then disseminated on social networks, according to what was stated in the press release. Maserati would then have decided to register the paternity of the initiative, making them the first official images of the model.

The name Grecale is that of a wind, as per Maserati tradition. The technical information for now is few: the basis will be the Giorgio platform (rear or all-wheel drive) already used for the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the engines will be petrol and hybrid. Among these there will probably be a variant of the new V6 Nettuno, the engine of the super sports MC20.

From the images you can guess a certain similarity with the Levante: despite the quality of the images, the large front mouth stands out, with the trident set in the center, the muscular rear and the waistline that rises towards the tail. Like the Stelvio, the Grecale will be produced in Cassino.
