Transferring the characteristics of spaciousness and versatility of the V-Class, the famous Mercedes-Benz van, into a vehicle with a more compact format but with premium credentials: this is the goal of the new EQT Concept, a prototype that anticipates the shapes and contents of the new minivans of the Star. The EQT, in particular, will have 100% electric mechanics, while the twin T-Class will be able to count on a range of thermal and hybrid engines: both are expected to debut in 2022.

“With the arrival of the upcoming T-Class we are expanding our range in the small van segment to address families and private customers of all ages, who in their free time want to dedicate themselves to their hobbies that often require a lot of space and maximum versatility, without sacrificing comfort and style ”, explains Marcus Breitschwerdt, Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans in an official note:“ The T-Class represents an attractive model for entering the world of Mercedes-Benz. The EQT Concept is the demonstration of our constant commitment to confirm ourselves as a leader in electric mobility. In the future we aim to offer a fully electric model also in this segment ”.

4.95 meters long, the car rests on 21 ”wheels and boasts sliding rear doors, designed to ensure optimal accessibility to the passenger compartment, designed to accommodate up to 7 passengers. The rear row seats can be folded down to optimize load capacity. The build quality is genuine Mercedes, as evidenced by the white nappa leather and recycled leather upholstery. While the infotainment operating system, connected to the network, uses voice recognition technology.
