Uwe Hochgeschurtz, current CEO of Renault Germany, Austria and Switzerland, has been appointed CEO of the Opel brand. It will occupy the seat starting September 1, 2021. The announcement comes just days before Ev Day, the day when its predecessor, Michael Lohscheller, announced big news for the brand: it will expand its commercial activities in China and from 2028 will only offer electric models.
