It is in the shadow of the Colosseum that the national preview of the new Smart # 1 took place, the first 100% electric model born from the synergy between Mercedes-Benz and the Chinese of Geely (who are also the major shareholders of the German giant). Interior? Digitized more than ever and practically devoid of physical buttons: the control bridge is based on a small display, placed behind the steering wheel rim – assisted by a head-up display -, and on the infotainment touchscreen (which can be updated over-the- air), from which the air conditioner is also managed. There are also “goodies” such as the panoramic roof, while the safety kit includes adaptive cruise control, the active lane maintenance system, blind spot monitoring, parking assistance and adaptive LED headlights.
The prices of Smart # 1 will be defined close to the marketing, scheduled for autumn; marketing that will be operationally guaranteed by the Smart Italia srl network.
