During the Stellantis Group’s EV Day 2021, Michael Lohscheller, CEO of the Opel brand, gave three important announcements recorded on video. First of all, Opel will only offer electric cars in Europe from 2028: today it already offers the Corsa and Mokka also in battery version, in addition to commercial vehicles.
The second announcement: Opel will land in China, a very important market in terms of size and in particular for electric vehicles. Finally, a product announcement: following the success of the historic Manta restomod, Opel will offer a “reinvented Manta” by 2025. A blurry image of the new model was projected during the presentation.
