After presenting the electric 500 to Pope Francis on Monday, today John Elkann and Carlos Tavares, president and CEO of Stellantis, visited the historic Maserati factory in via Ciro Menotti in Modena. Elkann and Tavares met Davide Grasso, CEO of Maserati and together they visited the new production line of the MC20 super sports car, the new paint shop and the new Nettuno Engine Lab.

Tavares also visited the Maserati Innovation Lab in via Emilia Ovest in Modena and tested a prototype of the new Maserati compact SUV, Grecale, on the roads of Modena. The images depict the prototype with the bodywork camouflaged by stickers: for now we know that the basis of the model will be the Giorgio platform (rear or all-wheel drive) already used for the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, that the engines will be petrol and hybrid ( there will probably be a variant of the new V6 Nettuno of the MC20) and which will be produced in Cassino.
